BLACKJACK — Mrs. Doris Mills Hudson, 83, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007.
The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Hudson, a native of Pitt County, had made her home in the Blackjack community all her life. She was a 1943 graduate of the Chicod School and was actively involved in farming with her husband and two sons.
Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Hollie Mae Evans Mills; her husband, J. Bryant Hudson; a son, Rodman Bryant Hudson and a grandson, Timothy Earl Hudson, Jr.
She is survived by sons Jay Dexter Hudson and Timothy Earl Hudson of Blackjack; a sister, Vera Belle Spain of Greenville; a brother, Carlton Hubert Mills of Greenville and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
