Mr. Roy Lee Blount, 65, of 245 S. Fifth St., Apt. 501, Aurora, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Peter Baptist Church Ministries with Bishop Joseph V. Squires officiating. Burial will follow in Idalia Cemetery.
Mr. Blount was born in Beaufort County on Dec. 12, 1941. He was the son of Mary Blount Shepard and the late Roy Blount. He was a graduate of the former S.W. Snowden High School. He attended St. Peter Baptist Church Ministries.
Survivors include three sons, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one sister.
The family will receive friends at the home of his mother, 245 S. Fifth St., Apt. 404, Aurora.
