Mr. Larry Donell Moore, 56, of 207 Cherry Lane, Chocowinity, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Whichard Chapel Holy Church of Power, Inc., 2659 Worthington-Warren Road, Stokes, with Bishops Elijah Cabbagestalk and John T. Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Mr. Moore was born in Beaufort County on April 15, 1950. He was the son of the late Gertrude Little Ewell. He graduated from Washington High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in social work with a concentration in gerontology from East Carolina University, Greenville. He was employed with Caswell Center in Kinston as a social worker. On Dec. 25, 1970, he married Goldie Ebron Moore, who survives. He was pastor of Whichard Chapel Holy Church of Power, Inc., Stokes, and Little Grove Holy Church of Power, Washington.
Survivors include one daughter, Natalie Moore of Washington; four sons, Isaac Moore of Chocowinity, Corey Moore of Durham, Stephen Moore of Nashville, N.C., and Michael Moore of the home; one sister, Thelma Jones of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Jesse Moore of Blounts Creek, and Stevenson Moore of Washington; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Little Grove Holy Church of Power, 312 Van Norden St., Washington, and other times at the home.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
