Mr. Emil Paul Czyz, 91, of Greenville, died Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2007, at St. Clair’s Church of Christ Cemetery with Craig Hagen officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2007 at the home of his daughter, Mary Louise Gurganus, 113 Knight Drive, Winterville, NC.
Mr. Czyz was born September 13, 1915 in Chicago, IL. He was the son of the late Paul and Kathrine Karlov Czyz. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Spain Czyz, who preceded him in death on January 13, 2003. He was a retired well driller.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Louise Spain Gurganus and husband, Bob of Winterville, NC; one son, John Michael Spain of Hampton, VA; one sister, Anna Czyz Westrope of Ocean Pines, MD; one brother, Daniel Czyz of Brooksville, FL and three grandchildren, John Robert Spain, John Daniel Gurganus and Amanda Brynne Gurganus.
