Mrs. Helen Goddard Greene, 81, of Williamston, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007.
A funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in Holly Springs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Greene was born in Martin County, the daughter of the late Grover and Stella Andrews Goddard. On Jan. 28, 1946, she married Arthur Greene, who preceded her in death Sept. 4, 1980. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Holly Springs United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis G. Cowin of Williamston, and Jan Styons of Roper; two sisters, Emma Jean Brady of Smithfield, Va., and Sybil O’Neal of Williamston; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Donna Lynn Cowin.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at 1075 Clyde’s Drive, Williamston.
