Mrs. Lottie Riddick Romich, age 95, a resident of Autumnfield Rest Home and a former resident of 580 East Water St., Belhaven, died Saturday, February 3, 2007, at the Pungo District Hospital in Belhaven.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, February 5, 2007, at the Belhaven Community Cemetery officiated by Mike Isbell.
Mrs. Romich was born in Belhaven on Sept. 8, 1911. She was the daughter of the late Willis Smith Riddick and the late Mary Ellen Weisiger Riddick. She graduated from the former Belhaven High School and continued her education at Louisburg College where she received a business degree. She worked in retail for J.D. Dawson Wholesale Co. for many years until her retirement. She married John Allison Romich, who preceded her in death in 1952. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Belhaven.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ellen Blythe and her husband, Ron, of Kill Devil Hills; and a son, John Allen Romich and his wife, Gayle, of Norfolk, Va.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Hannah Windley; and two brothers, George Riddick and Jack Riddick.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven.
