An angel came down from heaven and took Jane Czuhai Apple, 48, of Wilson, to be with her heavenly father on January 3, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. The Lord saw how tired she was and took her to be with Him in a better place.
Jane was a wonderful wife and mother to David, Brian, and Stephen. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Jane was born on February 16, 1958, to Eugene and Ivelene Czuhai in Round Oak, Georgia. She was an active member of the Wilson Community Church where she loved the people and serving God.
Surviving her are her husband, David Apple, and her sons, Brian Apple and Stephen Apple, all of Wilson; mother, Ivelene Beardsley Czuhai of Washington, N.C.; brothers Thomas Czuhai and wife, Linda, of Stafford, Va., Daniel Czuhai and his wife Rae Marie of Raleigh; mother-in-law, Janet Apple of Wilson; sisters-in-law, Debra Apple of Clayton, N.C., Anna Beard and husband John of Raleigh, N.C.; brother-in-law, Marty Apple and wife, Retha of Clayton, N.C.; and several nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Czuhai and her father-in-law, Robert Apple.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 7 p.m., with pastor Gary Combs officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Tuesday night before the service at the funeral home.
