Hazel Wells Parker

Mrs. Hazel Wells Parker, 79, a resident of 926 McCotters Marina Drive, Washington, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2007 from the chapel of Paul Funeral Home of Washington, conducted by Rev. Selby Smith. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
Mrs. Parker was born in Martin County on October 11, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Allie Wells and Annie Mae Roberson Wells. Mrs. Parker was a homemaker and a member of Love Baptist Missionary Church.
On July 21, 1951, she married Cheshire “Tobe” Josephus Parker Jr., who survives.
Surviving with her husband are five sons, Buddy Parker and his wife, Pam, of Oxford, Alton Parker and his wife, Audree, of Bath, Hal Tayloe Parker and his wife, Emily and George Parker, Roy Lee Parker and his wife, Missy, all of Washington; two sisters, Ina Faye Mobley of Jamesville and Mamie Clyde Raynor of Bridgeton; five grandchildren, Kimberly Bailliard and Antoine, Kelley, Blake, Graham and Austin Parker; and two step grandchildren, Jenna and Chris St. Clair.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by three brother, Woodrow, Dick and Raleigh Wells and two sisters, Myrtle Gardner and Belia Mae Asby.
The following will serve as active pallbearers: Mark Leggett, Joh Al Asby, Johnnie Gardner, Ted Gardner, Tommy Davis and Doug Batchelor. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Wayne Hardison, Ken Harris, Bubba Wells and Scott Moore.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Paul Funeral Home and other times at the home.
