Mrs. Betty Pulaski Harris, 79, a resident of Britthaven of Edenton and formerly of Church Street in Fairfield, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Providence Methodist Church, Swan Quarter, with the Rev. Freddie M. Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Soule Cemetery.
Mrs. Harris was born in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 29, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Herman Leo and Viola Loveless Pulaski. She was married to the Rev. Walter Macon Harris Jr., pastor of the former Fairfield Baptist Church, who preceded her in death in 1982.
Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Freddie M. Harris of Windsor, and Donald Macon Harris of Manteo; two daughters, Barbara H. Ellis and Vickie H. Collier, both of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter, and other times at the home of Timmy and Lisa Cahoon, 585 Main St., Swan Quarter.
