Billie Jo “BJ” Rowe, 40, of Vanceboro, tragically passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, David Koonce, Charlie and Pearlie Dail.
Billie Jo attended West Craven High School and Lenoir Community College. “BJ” was employed at Stanadyne for several years. She was excited to see her desire to help others fulfilled, as she was to receive her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate this semester and begin her new career at Pitt Memorial.
Billie Jo is survived by one son, Ernest W. Smith, Jr. of New Bern; one daughter Crystal Lynn Rowe of Blounts Creek; parents Billy Dail of Vanceboro and Jean Dail of New Bern; one brother Willie Dail of Vanceboro; one sister Patricia Collins of Bridgeton; grandmother Alice Koonce; two stepchildren Carla Rowe Mason, Kelly Rowe of Blounts Creek; former husband Raymond Rowe of Blounts creek.
Visitation will be Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Pollock-Best Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Leland Heath officiating.
Interment will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
