Mr. Lewis Lawrence “Lanny” Hoggard, 57, of 834 B U.S. Highway 13 North, Windsor, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Potter’s House Christian Fellowship with the Revs. Wendell Ray, Preston Jernigan, Hugh Mizelle and Brother Titus Carraway officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor.
Mr. Hoggard was born in Hertford County on Jan. 6, 1950. He was the son of the late Lewis Windley and Lucy Jernigan Hoggard. He was married to Susan Daniel Hoggard, who survives. He was a mechanic for DSM. He was a member of Potter’s House Christian Fellowship.
Survivors include one daughter, Renee Hoggard of Windsor; one sister, Jackie Mizelle of Colerain; and one brother, Max Truman Hoggard of Colerain.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, and other times at the home of his sister, 242 Elm Grove Road, Colerain.
