Mrs. Bessie Harrison Savage, 81, of 4254 Prison Camp Road, Williamston, died Friday, March 2, 2007.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Biggs Chapel in Williamston with the Rev. Dr. William Hafham. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Savage was born in Martin County on May 7, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Gideon Harrison and Irene Whichard Harrison. She was a homemaker. On Nov. 15, 1945, she married Gastan Lee Savage Jr., who preceded her in death on March 21, 1999. She was a member of the Roberson Chapel Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Savage of Williamston; two daughters, Kathy Coltrain and Vickie Rogerson, both of Williamston; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home.
