Mrs. Janice Hughes Davis, 81, of 810 S. King St., Windsor, died Monday, March 12, 2007, at Three Rivers Nursing Home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Edgewood Cemetery with the Revs. Jack Byrd and Wint Hale Jr. officiating.
Mrs. Davis was born in Bertie County on March 30, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Zack Odell and Eva Mae White Hughes. She was married to James Thomas Davis, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Cashie Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Davis Fuller of Windsor; one son, Tommy Davis of Edenton; two sisters, Mildred Hughes Castelloe of Ahoskie, and Anita Gray Perry of Colerain; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Lloyd O. Hughes.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, and other times at the home of her daughter, 1002 Colonial Lane, Windsor.
