NEW BERN— Mrs. Evelyn Lilley Deal, 90, of New Bern, died Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Two Rivers Nursing Facility.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at South Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington.
Mrs. Deal was a longtime member of South Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by five daughters, Brenda Bergman of New Bern, Joleene Lupton of Aurora, Julia Capshaw of New Bern, Faye Philyaw of New Bern and Shirley Flowers of New Bern; one son, Buddy Deal; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Pollock-Best Funeral Home in New Bern and Tuesday one hour prior to the service at South Creek Missionary Baptist Church. They will also receive friends at other times at the home of her daughter, Joleene Lupton, in Aurora.
