Mrs. Peggy Joyce Bullock Christopher of Williamston died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Williamston, with the Rev. Roger Leggett officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Christopher was born in Martin County on Sept. 28, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Bud and Perlie Williams. She was married to Mint Lindsey Christopher, who survives. She retired from Hamilton Beach as a line supervisor.
Survivors include one son, Johnny Lee Cunningham Sr. of Aurora; one daughter, Maryland K. Cruz of Greenville; one brother, Elliott “Red” Bullock of Williamston; three sisters, Betty Jane Roberson of Williamston, Mae Davis of Tarboro, and Dora Edmondson of Asheville; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard “Boot” Bullock; one brother, Robert Bullock and one sister, Nora Whitaker.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, and other times at the home of Brandon Cunningham, 206 Plum St., Williamston.
