Mrs. Mildred Swinson Hardison, 92, of Plymouth, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Washington County Hospital, Plymouth.
A funeral will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in Gospel Light Church of Christ with Jim Cooper and Elbert Lilley officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hardison was born in Martin County on Feb. 23, 1915. She was the daughter of the late Will and Esther Daniels Swinson. She was married to Joseph Earl Hardison, who preceded her in death. She was a retired dietitian with Washington County Hospital. She was a member of Gospel Light Church of Christ.
Survivors include four daughters, Joan H. Puckett and Brenda H. Skiles, both of Plymouth, Peggy H. Gurganus of Williamston, and Mary H. Waters of Roper; two sons, E. Horace Hardison of Plymouth, and Jimmy E. Hardison of Jamesville; four sisters, Beulah S. O’Brien and Margarette S. Mangum of Norfolk, Va., and Louise S. Moore and Grace S. Ange, of Jamesville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Burton Hardison.
Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
