Mr. Alvin Manning Bryant, 84, of 6322 U.S. Highway 64 Creswell, died April 5, 2007 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. James H. Rodgers.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Bryant was born Oct. 8, 1922 in Tyrell County to the late Annie S. Bryant and the late Willis C. Bryant. He was employed as a machine operator for Weyeheauser and served in the Army.
He is survived by his wife, Von Beulah H. Bryant; three sons, Carl Bryant and Craig Bryant, both of Greensboro and Kirk Bryant of Winston Salem; two daughters, Teresa B. Pinckney of Concord and Renetta B. Mills of Raleigh; a sister, Maybelle Rowson of Virginia Beach, Va., nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren
