Mrs. Jessie Chesson Ange, 79, of 1764 Main St., Jamesville, died Friday, April 13, 2007, at Martin General Hospital, Williamston.
A funeral will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in Jamesville Christian Church with the Rev. Douglas Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery.
Mrs. Ange was born in Washington County on Sept. 24, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Norman Gregory Chesson and Rusha Swain Chesson. On Aug. 31, 1947, she married Ghurman Ange, who survives. She worked as a secretary at Martin County Health Department until her retirement. She was a member of Jamesville Christian Church, where she was a choir member and held various offices in the CWA.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Ange Camlin of Kinston; one son, Curtis Ange of Columbia City, Ind.; one sister, Jackie Leary of Roper; and three grandchildren.
