Mrs. Carolyn Dixon Lewis, 61, of Plymouth died Friday, April 13, 2007, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the Plymouth Church of Christ with Bob Moulden officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Beaufort County on May 3, 1945. She was the daughter of Virginia Dare Dixon and the late Woodrow Wilson. She was a homemaker, an avid flower gardener, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed many camping adventures with her husband. She was married to Jack Lewis of Plymouth, who survives. She was a member of Plymouth Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Jackie Tyrrell and husband Jimmie of Washington; one son, Jack “Bo” Lewis Jr. and wife Michele of Youngsville; one sister, Mary D. Davis of Plymouth; and six grandchildren, Kimberly, Megan, Alyssa, Amanda, Brooke and Tony.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Plymouth Church of Christ and other times at the residence.
Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home of Creswell.
