Mrs. Lydia Snell Basnight, 89, of 134 Hazel St., Plymouth, died Friday, April 20, 2007, at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Christian Church, Plymouth.
Mrs. Basnight was born in Mackeys on Sept. 7, 1917. She was the daughter of the late James Thomas Snell and Katie Barneycastle Snell. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church, Plymouth.
Survivors include two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Joyce Bass; two brothers, James Snell and Robert Snell; and two sisters, Bessie Phelps and Lizzie Browning.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Association.
