DURHAM — Ms. Sharon Jean “Peaches” Gorham, 41, of 2752 Weldon Terrace, Durham, and formerly of Washington, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at University of North Carolina Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Mt. Hebron Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ), Washington, with Elder Gregory Boston and minister Emma Langley officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Ms. Gorham was born in Beaufort County on Feb. 6, 1966. She was the daughter of the late Ollie and Bertha Mae Gordon Gorham. She was a graduate of Washington High School and earned a degree in secretarial science from Beaufort County Community College, Washington. She worked as a teacher’s assistant with the G.B. Phillips School, Chapel Hill. While living in Washington, she was a member of Mt. Hebron Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ). In Timberlake, she was a member of Cleggs Chapel Church.
Survivors include one brother, Michael Gorham of Washington; three sisters, Debra Gorham of Washington, and Tina Gorham Moore and Karen Gorham, both of Durham; and one godson, Bruce Gorham of Washington.
The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Debra “Dot” Gorham, 911 E. 7th St., Washington.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
