Ms. June Alfred Knaup, 76, of Hickory Point, died Saturday at Beaufort County Hospital.
A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted today at 11 a.m. in Cuthrell Cemetery with the Rev. Earl Sadler officiating.
Ms. Knaup had worked as a secretary and was proud to have served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include one aunt, Harriett Alfred Paul of Washington; one brother, Fred Alfred of Cary; two sisters, Marie Gaskins of Arapahoe, and Dell Matthews of Hickory Point; good friends, Steve and Susan Williamson and Donnie Williamson, all of Hickory Point and several nieces and nephews.
