Beatrice A. Tetterton

Mrs. Beatrice Allen Tetterton, 81, of Plymouth, died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at Washington County Hospital, Plymouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church, Plymouth, with the Rev. Jimmy Hagwood officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Tetterton was born in Baltimore, Md., on Nov. 27, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Asa Thomas and Amelia Ayers Allen. She was married to Edward Benton Tetterton, who survives. She was co-owner and operator of Tetterton Cleaners from 1950 until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Plymouth, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for 42 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda T. Wrightson and Janice T. Young, both of Plymouth; three brothers, William Allen of California, and Leon Allen and Warren Allen, both of Plymouth; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Louise A. Davenport.
The family will receive friends today at the home.
