Mrs. Ruth Rollins Bullock, 92, of 119 Gatlin St., Williamston, died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Williamston Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston with the Rev. James Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bullock was born on March 29, 1915 in Pitt County, daughter of the late John and Sallie Rollins. She married Joe Eddie Bullock Sr., who preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1969. She was a member of Gold Point Church of Christ and a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Shannon of Louisburg; five sons, Ralph Bullock of Norfolk, Va., Joseph “J.D.” Bullock of Robersonville, Charles Bullock of Chocowinity, Joe E. Bullock Jr. of Williamston and Frankie Bullock of Williamston; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Mrs. Bullock was preceded in death by a son, Rudy Bullock.
The family received friends Sunday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and will receive them other times at the home of her son, Joe E. Bullock Jr., 1515 Dan Peel Road, Williamston.
