Mr. Robert Marvin Bennett

Mr. Robert Marvin Bennett, age 68, a resident of 110 Dogwood Drive, Pamlico Village, Washington, NC died Monday morning June 11, 2007 at Beaufort County Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens officiated by Dr. Jimmy Moore. His three sons and other family members will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Bennett was born in Beaufort County on March 27, 1939. He was the son of the late Ernest and Sally Bennett and Ruby Bennett Thomas. He was a graduate of Aurora High School and retired from PCS with 33 years of service. At his retirement he was the shift supervisor in the fertilizer department. Mr. Bennett was a member of the Core Point Free Will Baptist Church and a member of the Washington Moose Lodge. He served his country as a member of the 7th Cavalry in the U.S. Army and in the Army Reserve. He was an avid gardener, loved the outdoors and was a devoted and loving father.
He is survived by his three sons: Robert Shawn Bennett and his wife, Ileana of Greenville, Jarred Beau Bennett and Blakely Rain Bennett both of Chapel Hill; two brothers: Michael Thomas of Arkansas and Richard Terry Chance of Richmond, Va.
The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Paul Funeral Home in Washington and other times at the home.
