Debra “Debbie” Haddock Jones

Mrs. Debra Arlene Haddock Jones, age 47, a resident of 75 Mansfield Road, Washington, died Monday evening June 11, 2007 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday June 14, 2007 at the 15th Street Church of God in Washington officiated by Rev. Thomas Lee. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Jason Wells, Jeremy Wells, Jimmy Grady, Tracey Conner, John Cooper and Ken White will serve as pallbearers.
Debbie was born in Pitt County on July 17, 1959, daughter of the late William Robert “Bill” Haddock and Margaret Tucker Haddock. She was a 1977 graduate of Greenville Christian Academy and attended Pitt Community College. She was employed with Pitt County Memorial Hospital for 25 years in the accounting department and was an Avon representative for many years. Debbie was a member of the 15th Street Church of God. On February 16, 1991, she married Jeffrey Paul Jones, who survives. She loved her family, church family and her two dachshunds, Trixie and her favorite Precious. She was an avid NASCAR fan and # 24, Jeff Gordon was her favorite driver. There were not many races that she missed watching wherever she was.
In addition to her husband, Jeff of the home, she is survived by her children: Caleb Paul Jones of the home; Lindsey Jones Phillips and her husband, Jamie of Fort Mills, SC and Jenna Jones of Charlotte, NC; her brother: Ben Haddock and sister-in-law, Tammy of Greenville, NC; her mother-in-law: Carolyn Jones of Washington, NC; her brother-in-law: Eddie (Lenny) Jones and sister-in-law, Eileen of Cleveland, TN and her nephew and niece: Drew and Emily Haddock of Greenville.
The family will receive friends 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at 15th Street Church of God in Washington and other times at the home.
