Mrs. Ida Belle Brickhouse Holliday, 92, of Columbia died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
Born March 16, 1915 in Tyrrell County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis H. and Bell Ferrell Brickhouse and was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hilton Holliday; sisters, Lula Gomer and Viola Perry; brother, Luther Jernigan. Mrs. Holliday was a homemaker and member of Cabin Swamp Church of Christ.
Her family includes her son, Michael E. Holliday and wife Carol of Columbia, N.C.; grandchildren, Michelle Holliday Etheridge and Michael E. Holliday, Jr.; great grandchildren, Will Spencer Etheridge, Andrew Dillon Etheridge and Drake Allen Holliday; special niece, Ann Jones.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Cabin Swamp Church of Christ with Adam Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Azalea Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 29, 2007 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her son. Memorial donations may be made to the Tyrrell County EMS or Cabin Swamp Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
