Mrs. Nell White Dawson, 69, of Windsor, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, with the Rev. Frank Stansburg officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Dawson was born in Bertie County on June 12, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Cohen and Theo Hoggard White. She was married to George Dawson, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Askewville Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Tommy Dawson, Ricky Dawson and Craig Dawson, all of Windsor, and Mike Dawson of Henderson; four daughters, Martha D. Harrison, Betsy D. Byrum and Vicky D. White, all of Windsor, and Brenda Dawson of Aulander; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at 103 Thompson St., Windsor.
