Mr. Manley Harvey Edwards, 90, of Greenville, died Thursday, June 28, 2007.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Edwards was born in Beaufort County and had made his home in Greenville since 1947. He was a graduate of Aurora High School and attended two years of college. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II and was a mission pilot in the Civil Air Patrol in the 1950s. He was married to Iva Messick Edwards, who survives. He was the office manager of General Sales for a number of years and later owned a small business accounting firm, retiring in 1989. He was a member of The Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert “Bobby” Edwards of Greenville, and Barry Edwards of Rocky Mount; one daughter, Donna Edwards of Greenville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville.
