Mrs. Ann Hanger Wiseman, 70, a resident of 905 Potomac Drive Chocowinity, NC died Sunday, July 8, 2007 at her home.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev. Darryl Evans.
Mrs. Wiseman was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia on March 10, 1937, daughter of the late John William Hanger and the late Annie Laurie Warren Hanger. On June 15, 1957 she married Walter Raymond “Ray” Wiseman Jr., who survives. Mrs. Wiseman graduated from Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, VA. She attended Georgetown University, Pfeiffer College and trained at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC. Mrs. Wiseman was a nurse and was very involved in the community. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Eastern Star having served as a state officer in Virginia.
Surviving along with her husband Ray of the home are one brother: John W. Hanger of Winchester, VA; two sisters: Jane Hanger Seeley and husband William of Minneapolis, MN and Fran Hanger Brooks and husband John of Marietta, Ga.
The family will receive friends at the home, 905 Potomac Drive, Chocowinity, NC.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Pew Restoration Fund, First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1346, Washington, NC 27889.
