Mrs. Nellie Spencer Leary, 91, of Columbia, died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at Cross Creek Nursing Center, Swan Quarter.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Malachi’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert May officiating. Burial will follow in Azalea Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Leary was born in Tyrrell County on Oct. 1, 1915. She was the daughter of the late Julius and Alma Dillon Spencer. She was married to William H. Leary, who preceded her in death. She worked with Branch Bank &Trust Company as a teller until her retirement. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 281. She was a member of Malachi’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty J. Corley of Cocoa, Fla., and Peggy L. Cole of Columbia; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Peggy L. Cole.
