Mrs. Beatrice Wallace Patton, 71, of Raleigh, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Montlawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Melinda Mintz and Winifred Lathem officiating.
Mrs. Patton was born in Beaufort County on July 10, 1936. She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Hilda Mae Braddy Wallace. She attended Woman’s College in Greensboro (now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro). On Oct. 13, 1957, she married Charles Fredrick Patton, who survives. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Beaufort County, worked in the tax department in Martin County and as finance officer for the City of Roxboro.
Survivors include one son, Fred Patton Jr. of Clayton; two daughters, Terri Garrett of Oxford, and Hope Patton of Garner; and four grandchildren.
