Mr. Marvin Eugene Howell, 68, of 107 Roosevelt Drive, Williamston, died Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Chris Thompson and the Rev. Kenneth Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Howell was born in Martin County on Oct. 3, 1938 to Roland M. Howell and Elsie Harrison who preceded him in death. He married Doris Bonds, who survives, on April 17, 1960. He was the assistant director in the USDA Rural Development and a member of the Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Rene H. Dixon of New Bern; one son, Vern Howell of Williamston; one sister, Jean H. Waters of Pinetown; two brothers, Mayo Howell and James E. Howell both of Williamston; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today at Biggs Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home.
Arrangements are by Biggs Funeral Home of Williamston.
