Loyd T. Mizell

Mr. Loyd Tilmon Mizell, 94, of Plymouth, died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Plumblee Nursing Center, Plymouth.
Born January 27, 1913 in Martin County, he was the son of the late Richard J. and Minnie Moore Mizell and was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Carrow Mizell; son, Ernest E. Mizell; sister, Mary Mizell; brothers, Elmer Mizell, Clyde Mizell and Warren Mizell. Mr. Mizell was a retired sawyer with True-Temper Handle Company and member of Pinetown Baptist Church.
His family includes his daughter, Ellen M. Belch of Winterville, N.C.; sons, Robert Mizell and wife Peggy, Johnny Mizell and wife Sonya, Jimmy Mizell and wife Linda and Linwood Mizell, all of Plymouth, N.C. and Joseph Mizell and wife Bridgett of Boliva, Missouri; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Hope Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Bowers and Rev. Lyman Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. at Hope Free Will Baptist Church and other times at the residence of his son, Jimmy Mizell. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
