Virginia Beach — Norma June Dixon, 35, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 20, 2007. Born in East Meadow, NY, she is the daughter of Bill and Judy Speilberg. Norma worked as an insurance underwriter assistant, was a charter member of the American Cancer Society, and an active member of the Humane Society.
She also leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 14 years, Matt Dixon; three children, Shan, Maiah, and Matt; her pet dog, Abby; her sister, Karen Miller and her husband Jeff of Virginia Beach; her niece and nephew, Jenna and Steven Williams; her father and mother-in-law, Tom and Catherine Dixon of NC; and her grandmother, Mildred McLemore of FL. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Carey Lee McLemore, and her paternal grandparents, Norman and June Speilberg.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007 at the Chapel of the Good Sheppard, Oceana Naval Air Station. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of ones choice.
