Ms. Ema Novella Taylor Powell, 95, of 4241 Shepard Mill Road, Stokes, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Oak Grove Christian Church. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Powell was born in Stokes on March 31, 1912. She was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary Ema James Taylor. She was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Powell of Greenville, and Irving Powell of Newport News, Va.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home, Robersonville.
