Ms. Margaret Thompson Haste, 92, of 202 Governor’s Road, Windsor, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Edgewood Cemetery with the Rev. Reese Blanchard and the Rev. Dr. Carrol Tarkington officiating.
Ms. Haste was born in Bertie County on March 20, 1915. She was the daughter of the late John H. and Olive Thompson Haste. She retired from Wachovia Bank and Trust Co. after 27 1/2 years of service as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Historic Hope Foundation. She was a member of Cashie Baptist Church and its WMU.
Survivors include one niece, Brenda H. Styons of Roper, and one nephew, Bill Haste of Durham.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor.
