Mr. Joe David Dixon, 78, of 117 Chandler Drive, Washington, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Beaufort County Hospital.
Mr. Dixon was born in Pitt County on Oct. 22, 1928. He was the son of the late Joe David Dixon Sr. and Rosa Buck Dixon. Mr. Dixon served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was a retired carpenter. On July 15, 1994, he married the former Brandy Marie Downs, who survives.
Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn D. Evans of Williamston, Clorette D. Riddle and Anna D. Berry, both of Georgia, and Patty D. Newman of Washington; three sons, Jason C. Dixon, Jonathan D. Dixon and Louis P. Dixon, all of Washington; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends today from 7:30-9 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home, Washington.
