PLYMOUTH — Millie Sullivan Jethro, 76, formerly of Plymouth, died August 28, 2007, at Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home, Washington, N.C. Mrs. Jethro was born in Beaufort County on October 14, 1930, to the late Lewis E. Sullivan and Lenora Respass Sullivan. She was a homemaker for her family, a faithful member in the Plymouth Church of God and former Sunday School Secretary.
Mrs. Jethro was preceded in death by her husband: Rev. James Harrell Jethro and one sister: Joyce S. Kessell. She is survived by two sisters: Rena S. Locascio, Independence, MO; Pauline S. Bowen, Baker, FL; one beloved Aunt: Olive Hassell, Plymouth, NC; two sons: Michael Lewis Jethro and wife Marie, Clayton, N.C.; Sherill Evan Jethro and wife Natoma, Plymouth, N.C.; two daughters: Sylvia Jethro Scott and husband Duke, Williamston, N.C.; Sonya Jethro Lilley and husband Tommy, Washington, N.C.; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family received friends on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Smith &Austin Funeral Home Horner Chapel, 216 Washington St., Plymouth, and at other times at 213 Tranters Creek Dr., Washington, N.C.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 30, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Plymouth Church of God, 107 Truman Avenue with Rev. Phillip Jethro and Rev. Gary Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Gardens.
