Mrs. Frances Williamson Allcox, age 83, a former resident of Edenton and Washington and currently of Zebulon, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
A memorial service will be held at the Wendell Baptist Church, Sunday, September 2, 2007, at 12:15 pm following the morning worship service, conducted by Rev. Eddie Brackett.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, September 3, 2007, at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington conducted by Dr. Phillip Hayes.
Mrs. Allcox was the daughter of the late Percy and Mary Ola Wood Williamson. She was married to Rev. Sherwood Allcox, who preceded her in death in December of 1993. For the past several years, Mrs. Allcox had resided at Guardian Care in Zebulon.
Survivors include two sons, Sherwood E. Allcox and his wife, Peggy of Clinton, Irvin Lee Allcox and his wife, Debra of Wendell; a daughter, Sherry Allcox Swartout of Panama City Beach, FL; a brother, Hubert Williamson of Wendell; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday at Paul Funeral Home, Washington.
