Ms. Jacqueline Ann Palin-Harris, 58, of 104 Lonsdale St., Roper, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Mount Eprew Missionary Baptist Church, Roper, with the Rev. James W. Harris and the Rev. Dr. William T. Newkirk Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Roper.
Ms. Harris was born in Washington County on Feb. 8, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Annie Wynn Palin. She graduated from Washington County Union School in 1967. She was a graduate of Morgan State University in Baltimore, Md. She worked as a social worker/supervisor with the N.C. Department of Human Resources. She was a member of Oak City Missionary Baptist Church in Raleigh and Mount Eprew Missionary Baptist Church in Roper.
Survivors include one godchild, Brittni Deaver.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8 p.m. at Mount Eprew Missionary Baptist Church, Roper. The body will be placed in the church at 9 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.
