Mrs. Marguerite Jamerson Sparrow, age 85, a resident of 6845 River Road Washington died on Monday September 17, 2007 at Beaufort County Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, AMiA officiated by King Cole and John Grayson. A private burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
Mrs. Sparrow was born in Leaksville (Eden), NC on October 7, 1921 to the late Samuel Henry Jamerson and the late Rosa Etta Dallas. On October 24, 1946, she married David Thomas “Tommy” Sparrow who survives. Mrs. Sparrow was a homemaker who attended Church of the Good Shepherd Amia.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: one son: David Sparrow and his wife, Marti of Raleigh, three daughters: Suzanne Bledsole and her husband, Raymond of Wake Forrest, Carol Clark and her husband, Doug of Belhaven, Jan Sparrow of the home, one sister: Avis Whiteley and her husband, Roland of Danville, VA, seven grandchildren; Avery Sparrow and his wife, Jessica, Andrew Sparrow, Joel Bledsole, Thomas Bledsole, Mary Loren Bledsole, Ginger Gaylord and her husband, Jeffery, Lindsay Hubers and her husband, Shane, and seven great-grandchildren; Emily Gaylord, Meredith Gaylord, Dylan Hubers, Jesse Hubers, Brent Hubers, Mollie Hubers, and Hannah Hubers. She was preceded in death by one grandson; Douglas Brenton Clark Jr.
The Sparrow family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and at other times at the home 6845 River Road, Washington, NC 27889.
