Mrs. Edna Everett Eborn, age 90, a resident of 8918 Hwy 264 East, Washington died on Monday September 24, 2007 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday September 27, 2007 at the Woodard’s Pond Church of Christ conducted by minister Jim Reid. Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Luke Cutler, Chad Woolard, Kendall Walker, Jason Eborn, Alex Cutler and Tyler Woolard.
Mrs. Eborn was born in Beaufort County on June 18, 1917 to the late Leslie J. and Laura Bright Everett. On December 5, 1934 Mrs. Eborn married Bonnie Lee Eborn who preceded her in death. Mrs. Eborn retired from Hamilton Beach and was a long time member of Woodard’s Pond Church of Christ. She was a former Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir and a member of the Ladies Aid.
Survivors include two sons: Larry (Margaret) Eborn of Washington, B.L. (Emily) Eborn of Washington, four daughters: Peggy Carawan of Washington, Iva (Kenny) Walker of Mocksville, Alta Clayton of Washington, Vickie Eborn of Greenville, two brothers: Earl Everett of Pinetown, Eldridge Everett of Jacksonville, one sister: Vera Oland of Pinetown, nine grandchildren: Karen M. Melton, Kim M. Beacham, Carissa W. Jefferson, Luke Cutler, Chad Woolard, Chad Clayton, Kendall Walker, Jason Eborn, Jenny E. McNeill, six great-grandchildren: Ashlee B. Cahoon, Staci D. Jefferson, Alex Cutler, Tyler Woolard, Michael L. Clayton and Chelsy Clayton. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers: Irvin Everett, McOctis (Odis) Everett, Mayhew Everett, Glenn Everett and Loris Everett.
The Eborn family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Woodard’s Pond Church of Christ and at other times at the home.
Flowers are welcome and appreciated or the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Woodard’s Pond Church of Christ Building Fund.
