Mr. Calvin Columbus Reynolds, 84, of Jamesville, died Sunday, September 30, 2007, at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington.
Born September 9, 1923 in Tyrrell County, he was the son of the late Charlie C. and Martha Swain Reynolds and was preceded in death by his sisters, Addie R. Spencer, Rosa L. Reynolds and Helen R. Hassell; brothers, William Reynolds, Bennie Reynolds, Murriel Reynolds and Earl Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a retired mechanic with Liberty Fabrics, past member of Jamesville Ruritan Club and member of Jamesville First Baptist Church.
His family includes his wife, Katie Swain Reynolds of Jamesville, N.C.; daughter, Pamela R. Porter and husband, Geoffrey of Friendswood, TX; son, Charles S. Reynolds and wife Kellie of Gaithersburg, MD; brother, Dr. Isaac N. Reynolds of Chapel Hill, NC; grandchildren, Justin Porter, Joshua Porter, Jonathan Reynolds and Andrew Reynolds.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Jamesville First Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Crisp, Rev. Eddie Coltrain, Rev. Doug Stokes and Rev. Adron Modlin officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Jamesville First Baptist Church and other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
