Mr. Jimmy Lee Sadler, 58, of 600 Juniper Bay Road, Swan Quarter, died at Beaufort County Hospital in Washington on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007.
Born in Tyrrell County, April 19, 1949, he was the son of the late Guy and Margaret Lee Berry Sadler. He was married to Elizabeth Simpson Sadler who preceded him in death. He worked with the Mid-East Housing Authority as a wastewater treatment operator until his retirement because of health problems. He also spent years in hog farming and as a commercial fisherman. He was a member of Watson’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the family plot in Soule Cemetery. Rev. Jerald Craddock will officiate.
Surviving are a son, Jimmy Guy Sadler of the home; two daughters, Faithe Simpson of Swan Quarter and Hope Sadler of Greenville; a brother, Sam S. Sadler of Engelhard and two grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Boyd in 1980.
The family will receive friends at Bryan Funeral Service in Swan Quarter on Sunday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and other times at the home of Faithe and Michael Simpson, 86 Third St., Swan Quarter.
