Mr. Christopher C. Gibbs, 82, of Salisbury, Md., died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at Mt. Hebron Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, 210 W. Sixth Street, Washington. Burial will follow at Lanier Cemetery of Stokes.
Survivors includea daughter, Mary Ashanti Asmar and a son, Christopher Gibbs Jr., both of Salisbury, Md., and Tony Roberson of Savannah, Ga.; one sister, Lottie Mae Harris and two brothers, Matthew Gibbs and Charlie Gibbs, all of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Sammy Gibbs, David Gibbs, Augustus Gibbs, James Gibbs, and Johnny Gibs and his second wife Jessie Gibbs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Wicomico Nursing Home, 900 Booth Street, P.O. Box 2378 Salibury, MD 21802-2378.
Perkins Funeral Home of Bethel is serving the Gibbs family.
