Mr. Louis Wilson Jarvis Sr., 67, of Roper, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Roper Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Simpson and Thomas Biggs officiating.
Mr. Jarvis was born in Beaufort County on May 11, 1940. He was the son of the late William L. and Maybelle Alexander Jarvis. He was married to Catherine Bunch Jarvis, who survives. He was a self employed electrician. He was a member of Mid-County Fire Department and Mid-County Ruritan Club. He was a member of Roper Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Louvaine Queen of Plymouth and Pam J. Roberson of Roper; three sons, Louis W. “Buddy” Jarvis Jr. of Bryon, Ga., John W. Jarvis of Palm Coast, Fla., and Chris K. Jarvis of Nashville, N.C.; two sisters, Charlotte J. Overton of Plymouth and Maude J. Hill of Pensacola, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at Roper Baptist Church and other times at the home.
