Ruth Gibbs Brickhouse, 81, of 1212 Quarter Road, Swan Quarter, died early Monday, November 12, 2007 at her home.
Born in Hyde County, December 29, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Loron J. and Birdia Blanche Gibbs. She was married to Thomas Edison Brickhouse who preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the family plot in Soule Cemetery. Mike Wheeler will officiate.
Surviving are daughters, Kathryn B. Smith, her daughter, Tracey Garrish and children, Chance and Caaman of Washington; Vonda B. Tarkenton, her son Aaron, his wife, Sandy and daughter, Clarissa of Scanton; son, Keanan Brickhouse and wife Ashley, and children Destiny, Aziza and Nico of Swan Quarter.
Mrs. Brickhouse was preceded in death by two brothers, Travis Randall Gibbs and Carley Caiwan Gibbs.
The family will receive friends at Bryan Funeral Service in Swan Quarter on Tuesday evening, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and other times at the home.
