Mr. Gerald L. Heatley, 80, formerly of Creswell, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Bayview Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Fla.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Scuppernong Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born June 27, 1927, in Washington, D.C., Mr. Heatley was the son of the late Cleveland and Helen Bennett Heatley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Reynolds Heatley. He was a retired counter intelligence officer with the Central Intelligence Agency. Mr. Heatley was a member of The American Legion, and a member of Scuppernong Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia H. Flock and Holly H. Rodgers; two sons, Berry Heatley and Matthew Heatley and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Maitland Funeral Home in Creswell.
