Ms. Brenda D. Bond-Cherry, 59, of Windsor, died Nov. 14, 2007 at Bertie County Memorial Hospital in Windsor.
Ms. Bond-Cherry was born April 23, 1948 in Bertie County and was a retired machine operator at Weyerhaeuser Company in Plymouth. She was the daughter of Glady Spivey-Bond and the late Rhodes S. Bond. She was a member of St. Elmo Baptist Church and the Southwestern Alumni Class of 1955.
Ms. Bond-Cherry is survived by a son, Arthur Terrell Cherry of Windsor; two sisters, Doris Rascoe-Thomas of Oxon Hill, Md. and Carol Bond of Philadelphia; two brothers, Micheal M. Bryant of Clinton, Md. and Rhodes S. Bond Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz; stepmother Margaret Bond of Philadelphia; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was Nov. 17 at Zion Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Windsor. The funeral is today at noon at the church with Rev. Barry K. Berryhill Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Windsor.
